About Us
NTAG is a Non – Profit organization passionate about long term solutions and ripple-effect project results on nutrition and health challenges. Its primary focus is on nutrition and health benefitting children, adolescents, and women of Nepal. Launched in early 1996 as a conveyor to National Vitamin A Project in Nepal it has emerged as one the nation’s major technical support groups extending technical support to the Ministry of Health and Population in implementing the community-based health and nutrition programs.
At NTAG we think smartly, about applying lessons learned and best practices across all of our projects, about forging partnerships among all the stakeholders that unite the best minds to solve its toughest problems. In addition, NTAG strikes a balance between thorough research and practical solutions for the improvement of nutritional status of children, adolescents and children.
NTAG has a team of highly qualified and experienced health workers who are very committed to their works as reflected in the awards the organization has received: awards for Best Practices in Global Health in 2000, Global Health Heroes in 2005, Frontline Heroes in 2006 and Global Diffusion of Healthcare Innovation in 2015. Besides the regular health professionals, NTAG also has a pool of highly qualified professionals whose services are utilized by NTAG in various health programs implemented at the community level. NTAG has its office at Maitighar, Kathmandu, with a team of staff who manages the finance, personnel and logistics of all the programs. NTAG’s technical staff consists of a public health expert (with national and international experience), senior health program trainers, management and logistic staff and a financial consultant (CA). NTAG is registered with the Kathmandu District Administration Office and Social Welfare Council under the provision of the NGO Act. The organization manages funds received from donors such as USAID, UNICEF, MI, JICA, AusAID, WHO and Save the Children. NTAG is a regular tax-paying organization and a separate audit is done for each program.
